Dense and with a coarse texture, Granoro Polpa Rustica is made using tomatoes grown, selected and processed in Italy within a few hours of picking. Once blanched and peeled, the tomatoes are passed through a straining machine with large holes, which allows some seeds and skin to pass through, giving the finished product a rustic look, like a homemade passata. Polpa Rustica is packaged in 680g glass jars, perfect for a family of four. Once opened, the product can be kept in the fridge for a few days. The heat treatment process, consisting of pasteurization, enables the product to retain its characteristics for longer, including the distinctive aroma of traditional passata.
