Toma is a cheese made from cow's milk and originates from Piedmont. The production involves turning and washing the cheese wheel in water that is formed during the process of salting. This makes the crust a particular consistency. It is a mature cheese and has a buttery, sweet and delicate flavour.
The Toma is great on a cheeseboard and is also excellent for melting into sandwiches, burgers, pasta and risotto.
